The Multicultural Youth Art Competition has officially launched, providing a dynamic platform for young artists to showcase their creativity and celebrate cultural diversity. Organised by the Creative Asia Foundation in collaboration with Artspie and the MAAC, this competition aims to recognise the artistic achievements of youth from diverse backgrounds and promote cultural unity through artistic expression.
Open to young artists (age 5 -18) from all backgrounds, the competition encourages participants to explore their cultural heritage and share their unique stories through visual art. The top three winners will be awarded cash prizes of $500, $300, and $100, respectively. Additionally, the top 50 artists will have their work featured in a prestigious exhibition and receive an Exhibition Award Certificate, while all participants will be honoured with a Participation Certificate for their contributions.
“The Multicultural Youth Art Competition is not just about art—it’s about celebrating the rich diversity that makes up our community,” said Angèle Charlotte from Creative Asia Foundation. “We are excited to provide this platform for young artists to share their creativity and connect with others through their cultural stories.”
The competition is set to culminate in a Multicultural Youth Art Exhibition, where the top 50 entries will be displayed for the public. This exhibition will not only highlight the artistic talents of young people but also foster dialogue around cultural exchange and understanding.
The Multicultural Youth Art Competition is proudly supported by Victoria Government, Artspie, and Creative Asia Foundation as part of a broader initiative to encourage youth engagement, mental health, and community connection through the arts.
